Deluxe Winged Sun Sterling Silver Necklace

Cast in solid sterling silver from my own wax sculpt. This impressive pendant was inspired by the myth of Icarus.

I wanted to make the sun more of a character in the myth, as if it had agency in luring Icarus to it. After the beeswax melts, the feathers fall away, and Icarus plummets into the sea, the ever present sun remains soaring in the sky, our very own cosmic horror.

This deluxe version features Czech glass beads representing the melting beeswax.
